Emily & I are really looking forward to coming out tonight... especially since there was no swing on Saturday night. Hope to see you all at the dance!

Sure, Joe, taunt us.

Becca has the GREs tomorrow, so we really couldn't be out dancing. Everyone should wish her luck, by the by.

I suppose it's only appropriate that my first post should be me hitting on Paul. With that said...

Wow!!! What a fun night!!! We have some fun leads in the 'Burgh!!! (I think I'm lindy crushed all over again!)

The Boilermakers... (not meaning to steal your word, Paul), but you guys are HAWT!!! Sounded great! I've never been to a dance with you guys and not managed to have a good time!

A request... Paul, you introduce the band, but you never leave room for my "I Love You, Paul" after you introduce yourself. I'm going to start having your microphone muted if you don't give us time to show you our love!!! :D

And guess who I got to dance with... Rich!!! :D

Paul, someone mentioned that there is a drink called a "Boilermaker"... did your name derive from that?!?

I still love, Paul!

It was a blast as usual! I really hope I can make it to Glen Echo Ballroom in October. I might have to ride in the BMJB van to get there :P

I will leave time for shouting at me when I introduce myself next time....

Yes- it was a particularly enthusiastic and well attended Edgewood night. I hope this is a sign of great things to come here on the scene in the 'Burgh!

OK- as for the "Boilermaker".... when we were trying to name the band way back when, we wanted something that was kinda Pittsburgh- ish, but not the same old "Three Rivers" or "Steel City" that everyone else does.

The Boilermaker is in fact a drink that the steel workers used to consume after their shifts to clear out the body. It consists of a shot of whiskey chased by a cold beer. That's it- simple, but yummy. It's kinda Pittsburgh- y, but not too much. So we decided to name the band after the booze, and the rest is history.

HAHA It's perfect! I approve! You may remain known as the Boilermakers.

(Is this where I have to admit that Shawn was right?!? He must of cheated and known the story beforehand!)

I always wondered if you guys named the band after the drink but I kept forgetting to ask.

Jimmy Sapienza and Five Guys Named Moe are at Edgewood this weekend. I have been really enjoying these guys lately. Hope to see you all there.

I know I will be there early for once since John and I will be teaching the intro lesson. Send your newbie freinds....
